About the Author Christopher Barnatt is a professional futurist, videographer, and Associate Professor of Computing and Future Studies in Nottingham University Business School. He is also the author of seven books on computing and future studies. These comprise A Brief Guide to Cloud Computing (Robinson, 2010), 25 Things You Need to Know About the Future (Constable, 2012), the textbooks The Computers in Business Blueprint (Blackwell, 1994) and Management Strategy and Information Technology (Thomson, 1996), and the Future Trilogy of Cyber Business (John Wiley, 1995), Challenging Reality (John Wiley, 1997) and Valueware (Praeger, 1999). In addition to writing ExplainingComputers.com and its sister site ExplainingTheFuture.com, Christopher wrote, presented and produced the series Challenging Reality for Controversial TV (UK Sky Channel 200). He also spent six years producing cartoon animation for the BBC, has consulted on two projects for Discovery Channel, and since 2006 has contributed to the Clore Leadership Programme. Christopher has made more than 60 radio appearances talking about computing and future studies on stations including BBC Radio Nottingham, 16 other BBC local radio stations, Kerrang!, CityTalk, and BBC Radio 2.
